The rapid development of digital technology over the past decade has profoundly influenced educational systems at both global and national levels. Technology has created vast opportunities for students to experience learning that is more flexible, personalized, and interactive. This article seeks to describe the transformation of education in the digital era by highlighting two essential dimensions: the opportunities available and the challenges faced by young learners. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review as the primary method, drawing data from journals, books, and research reports published within the last ten years. The findings reveal that digital learning significantly expands access to knowledge, fosters creativity, and enhances 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. Nevertheless, several pressing challenges remain, including digital inequality across regions, limited access to devices and infrastructure, low levels of digital literacy, and uneven readiness among teachers in adopting technology. The study emphasizes that supportive policies, the role of educational institutions, and community involvement are crucial in ensuring the success of this transformation. It concludes that digital education holds great potential to establish a more inclusive, adaptive, and globally relevant system, provided that opportunities are maximized and challenges are addressed with sustainable strategies.
